Moving Beyond Broken Relationship Grief

The intensity of one’s love for the other is most of the time measured by the length of time they are together. So when the time comes that they need to part ways, the pain and grief become so intense that they no longer know how pull themselves up after the fall.

Overcoming grief is difficult especially for a heart that has been in love for so long. But you do not own your ex’s feelings and you can’t just possibly command him to feel the way you feel. But do not worry too much, a heart that’s been bruised has the right to grieve over a lost love. The thing is, you don’t need to be on that grieving moment of your life for long.

So, how do you move beyond broken relationship grief and on to a better life?

Find New Purpose

If you are busy, you won’t have time to think of things that will most likely depress you. Find something worthwhile that will keep you busy even during your idle times.

Diverting your attention to other things does not guarantee you’re not going to be sad anymore. You’ll still feel the pain but not the whole time when you’re awake. But you do not own your ex’s feelings and you can’t just possibly command him to feel the way you feel.

Open Up your Heart

Whether you are filling your life with new friends, cultivating and renewing old friendships, or finding potential new romance it is good to enjoy new relationships after a break up. These relationships are not only an excellent choice for helping you fill your time but these are the people who will be your support system when the going gets tough and you are tempted to give in to grief.

Grow Stronger as a Person

This doesn’t mean you need to go out and take up some super Kung Fu Fighting course. There are more ways than one to become a stronger person. Feed your mind, your spirit, and your body to become stronger each and every day. It seems like such a simple thing but it takes a certain amount of determination to become stronger when suffering through broken relationship grief.
